I was given the greatest pleasure to shoot this beautiful wedding. When Janna contacted me and offered to fly me out I couldn't refuse. Standing at a coffee counter in the Dallas airport before my connecting flight, the Barista, asked me where I was going. I replied "Arkansas." She laughed, "Why would you go there? For work I hope?" I told the women I was going to shoot a wedding. She then said "Well if it's raining here then you best be building an ark there." She made rowing gestures with her hands as she made this comment. I laughed as I took my coffee and headed for my gate. It's funny to me because Arkansas has a reputation of being a very boring state but what I found in my four days there is that Arkansas is a beautiful place. Lush trees and rolling hills with bits of historic houses tucked into the country side. The wedding was located at the, Overlook Bed and Breakfast. Which included the most breath taking views. The morning of the wedding was very rainy as all the girls including myself helped decorate the tent and get Janna ready. Nervous about the weather Janna layered herself preparing for cold. Only moments before the start of the wedding did the weather give way and the clouds parted letting the sun shine through. What started out wet, windy and cold ended in warmth and love.
